The design proposal for the new Tagliabue nursery school intends to create a strong building compositional identity that integrates into the scale of the surrounding buildings and declares a strong relationship with the existing greenery making it an integral part of the project. The shape is born starting from the green tree-lined voids, arranging themselves around them with respect to enhance nature as the silent protagonist of the entire intervention. An enclosure contains these voids that take on the identity of intimate and intimate courtyards and gardens, suitable for the extension of teaching and play outdoors and which offer children an immersive educational experience of observation and experimenting with nature.

From the moment of entry, the school intends to establish a familiar relationship with the user and the visitor through the limited height, the permeability to the ground floor, the shape and distribution of the windows. The insertion into the lot takes place by extending to the limits of the building perimeter by integrating the walls of existing boundaries as part of a new enclosure. The building is defined by an alternation of internal spaces and outdoor gardens that generate a new ecosystem in which architecture, environment and pedagogy coexist in a synergistic relationship to allow children to experiment, understanding themselves themselves in relation to others and in harmony with the surrounding environment.
